The Best Menu Items At LongHorn Steakhouse

When it comes to its food, LongHorn Steakhouse prides itself on not cutting corners.

The LongHorn menu has a lot to offer because they always choose the best cuts of meat, the freshest ingredients, and have been crafting succulent steaks for over 40 years.

The Best Menu Items At LongHorn Steakhouse

LongHorn Steakhouse was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, and opened its doors in August 1981, making food especially for steak lovers.

LongHorn Steakhouse is a favorite of ours. Their immaculate atmosphere makes it the ideal spot for a family outing or happy hour with pals.

The combination of the relaxed yet energetic ambiance and, of course, the wonderful food makes it ideal for any occasion.

The great thing about LongHorn Steakhouse is that steak isn’t your only food option when visiting.

There are plenty of dishes to choose from, so we’ve created a list of some of the absolute best menu items for you to try on your next meal out.

1. 7-Pepper Sirloin Salad

What should you do if you want to enjoy LongHorn’s specialties while still eating a dinner that is mainly fresh and healthy? Well, you could always get the 7-pepper Sirloin Salad.

We don’t think it’s the healthiest salad in the world, but given that you’ll get a good portion of protein and loads of fresh vegetables, we think it’s still a good choice for people who want to feel their best.

The chopped tomatoes, croutons, and bleu cheese crumbles truly tie the salad’s other components together, despite how wonderful and juicy the grilled sirloin is.

Even though the sirloin is on the heavier side, the fresh vegetables make up for it.

2. Baby Back Ribs

These fall-off-the-bone tender Baby Back Ribs are made by the same master grillers that create LongHorn’s perfectly grilled steaks.

Our opinion is that a good rack of sweet-and-savory ribs is the perfect comfort food. These ribs are slow-cooked, spiced, and then fire-grilled to perfection while retaining all of their flavors.

The half-rack is served with two sides and is brushed with sweet and smoky barbecue sauce. A variety of potatoes, roasted veggies, and salad options are available.

3. Big Sky Burger

Nothing compares to LongHorn’s Big Sky Burger, despite the effort required to eat it.

It starts with a half-pound of LongHorn’s renowned, specially blended American beef, but that isn’t all! It is then topped with tender, shaved short-rib.

And that’s still not all!  Swiss cheese, arugula, crispy onion straws, and steakhouse sauce are then placed on top.

Nothing will sate your burger hunger like the Big Sky, but it is so decadent that we might suggest a side salad instead of fries.

The crispy onion straws, which complement the juicy patties and soft bread to perfection, are our favorite part.

4. Caramel Apple Goldrush

The Caramel Apple Goldrush at LongHorn Steakhouse is the perfect dessert if you want something tasty, creamy, and not overly rich.

This dish, in our opinion, is decadent without being excessively extravagant.

A baked pastry with Fuji apples inside is topped with Jim Beam caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream, which elevates the entire dish to a new level in terms of flavor.

Even though it’s simple, the way the many parts work together is flawless.

5. Chili Cheese Fries

Since they are the perfect prelude to any of LongHorn’s meals, their chili cheese fries are the ideal appetizer to share among your table.

LongHorn somehow keeps their fries wonderfully crispy even when surrounded by a sea of creamy toppings.

These Chili Cheese Fries have it all, in our opinion; rich yet lean beef chili, a cheese sauce that coats every crevice, crispy bacon pieces, and a sour bite from sliced, pickled jalapenos are all featured in this dish.

6. Chocolate Stampede

Wait until you discover that LongHorn’s Chocolate Stampede contains six different types of chocolate in one delectable dessert.

You’ve heard of triple chocolate cake, which is already a treat and a half, but this takes it to a whole new level!

Normally, you would need a few pals to help you finish this dish, but if you’re a determined chocolate lover, take on the challenge of finishing the entire plate by yourself.

The ingredients for this dish are well kept, but the combination of vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate cake, mousse, shell, and syrup is so delicious that you won’t even care what’s in it.

7. Cowboy Pork Chops

When you order LongHorn’s Cowboy Pork Chops, one of their original menu items, you’ll taste the flavor of Atlanta.

Two succulent 8 oz. center-cut pork chops are marinated in LongHorn’s renowned Prairie Dust spice rub before being grilled bone-in.

Despite being kept a well guarded secret, the spice rub’s blend of smoked paprika, turmeric, and ground coriander is easily recognizable.

Don’t let the absence of a sauce stop you from trying these pork chops. They don’t need anything extra on them because they are so juicy and flavorful.

You can also choose from a variety of sides with this entrée, and in our opinion, they pair great with the Loaded Idaho Baked Potato.

8. Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich

Although LongHorn Steakhouse is a well-known favorite for supper, you should also check out their great and varied lunch menu.

The Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich, which is excellent as part of a combo, has to be one of our favorites.

A mouthwatering brioche bun is served with 6 oz. of hand-breaded, wonderfully crispy buttermilk fried chicken.

The bun is taken to the next level by the addition of LongHorn’s superb house-made ranch dressing on top. If you order the lunch combo, you can pick from a soup, salad, or side dish.

9. Flo’s Filet And Lobster Tail

Surf and turf is the ultimate indulgence, and Flo’s Filet and Lobster Tail is the ideal dinner for any special event or just to treat yourself.

This delectable meal mixes a cold-water lobster tail doused in melted butter with LongHorn’s trademark 6 oz. center-cut filet.

After tasting this dish, you’ll be thinking about the flavors and searching for any excuse to order this delight.

You get to pick two sides to go with the dinner if this scrumptious combination doesn’t seem wonderful enough on its own.

There will likely be a lot of food, so you might not be able to eat it all, but there will be great leftovers for the next day!

10. French Onion Soup

Regardless of the cuisine, there are a few classic meals that you can find in a lot of places. French Onion Soup is one of these delicacies, and LongHorn Steakhouse serves it as well.

The distinction is that it’s one of the best menu items at LongHorn. It is absolutely worth ordering a smaller meal to fully appreciate the pleasures of this appetizer dish.

It is your standard beef broth and onion soup, but it is fully covered in cheese. Melted parmesan, provolone, and Swiss cheese combine to provide the ideal melty mess to top your soup.

This soup is essential if you want to make the most of LongHorn and start the evening off right.

11. Grilled Chicken And Strawberry Salad

Since LongHorn is so well known for its delicious meats, you might be hesitant to go there with a steak lover if you’re on a health kick.

However, their four entree salads are among the many healthy options at LongHorn.

The Grilled Chicken and Strawberry Salad, one of our favorites, blends crisp, fresh romaine lettuce with a variety of fruits and juicy, grilled chicken.

Although strawberries are the main attraction in this salad, it also contains grapes and mandarin orange segments.

The delightfully crisp candied nuts and the salty, creamy feta crumbles balance the fragrant sweetness perfectly.

12. Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders

Although your children will also enjoy them, chicken tenders are not only for kids at LongHorn Steakhouse.

Because they are created to order, these Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders are particularly fresh and juicy.

However, LongHorn’s renowned honey mustard dipping sauce, which is truly phenomenal, is the best part of these tenders.

Although we’ve tried a lot of excellent honey mustard sauces, LongHorn’s is most likely the greatest we’ve ever had.

13. Loaded Potato Soup

Potato soup is usually a hit with the crowd, and this loaded potato soup is among the best.

Yukon gold potatoes, heavy cream, and a creamy bechamel sauce are combined together to make the soup’s base.

It’s a bowl of warm comfort that is creamy yet uncomplicated and topped with delectable bacon bits and shredded cheddar. Although it has a silky texture, there are still potato bits to add life and diversity.

The addition of fresh spring onions creates the ideal balance when combined with bacon, cream, and cheddar, which would normally be a bit too rich.

14. Longhorn Salmon

The LongHorn Salmon is unbeatable if you want steakhouse flavor without the saturated fat and calories of actual steak.

At LongHorn Steakhouse, you might not be drawn to fish, but we can assure you that this hand-cut, fresh Atlantic salmon will pleasantly surprise you.

Although it is flaky and light, it nevertheless retains the rich, buttery flavor of a fine cut of salmon.

Because it is grilled to perfection, just like their renowned steaks, and marinated in LongHorns’ special bourbon sauce, this fish stands out on the menu.

You can choose a vegetable side to go with the LongHorn Salmon, which is paired with tasty but understated rice.

15. Mac & Cheese

Many steakhouses serve basic Mac & Cheese as a simple side dish, but LongHorn’s Mac & Cheese is anything but basic.

This delicious dish of bliss is rich, tangy, and oh-so-melty thanks to the mix of gruyere, white cheddar, parmesan, and fontina.

Extra-crispy bacon crumbles and panko breadcrumbs scented with garlic are added by LongHorn in addition to the four-cheese sauce, providing the variety of textures that are needed with something so creamy.

16. Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Everything with a parmesan crust is automatically a “yes” in our books because we love cheese so much!

However, we frequently find that chicken that has been coated can end up being overly salty or dry.

The Parmesan Crusted Chicken from LongHorn, on the other hand, is extremely crunchy on the surface and still wonderfully moist inside.

The combination of a creamy parmesan sauce, which locks in moisture, and a garlic cheese crust, which provides an irresistible crunch, is the secret to this dish’s success.

The all-white-meat grilled breast is light enough to preserve the balance even though the parmesan sauce is undoubtedly rich, allowing you to enjoy it without overindulging.

17. Redrock Grilled Shrimp

The Redrock Grilled Shrimp is one of LongHorn’s best seafood meals, which may surprise you given how many other really good seafood options they have.

You will receive an enormous amount of grilled shrimp when you order this menu item. The nicest part of this dish is the smoky tomato butter that the shrimp are coated in.

The shrimp receive a slight umami taste as well as some sweetness from the tomato. The butter gives the shrimp a fatty richness, and the smokiness unites everything to create an outstanding dish.

Even if there aren’t many side dish options for this shrimp, we still think it’s a fantastic option if you enjoy seafood.

The majority of people who prefer seafood will enjoy the shrimp because they are plump, moist, and simple.

Shrimp And Lobster Chowder

18. Shrimp And Lobster Chowder

You’ll become fixated on LongHorn’s Shrimp and Lobster Chowder if you enjoy New England Clam Chowder.

The superior seafood of lobster and shrimp are used instead of clams, but it still has the same amount of potatoes and creamy, tangy flavor as clam chowder.

Once you’ve had this chowder, you’ll want to use this alternative every time.

When it comes to creating delicious, rich food that is still light and not overly filling, LongHorn Steakhouse is unmatched.

This is accomplished by including sweet corn, red bell peppers, and fresh green onions on top of the chowder.

19. Strawberries And Cream Shortcake

The Strawberries and Cream Shortcake is a particular delicacy that we really enjoy.

This dish is rather rich, but because it emphasizes cream and fruit rather than chocolate, it is lighter than a dessert like the Chocolate Stampede.

That doesn’t negate the fact that this shortcake is also indulgent, though. It has layers of vanilla cream, luscious strawberry jam, and a creamy and fluffy yellow shortcake.

The mixture is then topped with fresh strawberries and syrup to enhance the flavor.

Although this dessert is sweet, we enjoy that the berries add just the right amount of sharpness to counteract the sweetness.

20. White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms

Even those who typically dislike mushrooms really can not resist the White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms at LongHorn.

Although you can still taste the mushroom flavor, roasting the mushrooms as opposed to sautéing them eliminates the rubbery texture that mushrooms often have.

The parmesan crust, the garlic herb cheese stuffing, and the bed of velvety four-cheese sauce that the mushrooms are served on are, of course, the actual stars of the show.

The garlic and endless cheese are irresistible together, and the mushrooms cut through the richness.
