17 Simple And Delicious Crown Royal Cocktails

In this guide, we will detail 17 simple and delicious Crown Royal cocktails. There is also a bonus section dedicated to whiskeys and mixers.

What Is Crown Royal?

The whiskey known as Crown Royal, or Seagram’s Crown Royal, is a whiskey blend that originates from a place called Gimli, in the Canadian province of Manitoba.

The bottling and blending process actually takes place in another facility in the town of Amherstburg in the state of Ontario. The whiskey itself is popular in Canada and can boast of being the top-selling Canadian whiskey in the US.

The whiskey’s direct origin comes from 1939 when the English King and Queen visited Canada. To mark the occasion, Canada created a whiskey blend from 50 whiskeys which became Crown Royal.

The whiskey remained in Canada and was not exported until 1964, since then it has done well south of the border in the US.

In terms of taste, this is a rich and flavorful whiskey that works great with other components. For that taste, around 10,000 bushels of corn, rye, and barley from Manitoba and the surrounding areas are used every day in the whiskey’s production.

The whiskey is also known for its gold lettering and royal velvet purple bag which are swift markers of the brand. Thanks to the distillation process, this is a clean whiskey that can be a superb addition to other ingredients for a range of cocktails.
