If you’ve got an upcoming party, Jello shots are a great way to liven up the night.
Now you may be thinking, surely there aren’t that many jello shot flavors out there. But there are.
And some of them are actually super fun and pretty cool.
I don’t do boring and plain, so if you’re looking for something a little bit different that will still taste amazing, then you may want to take a look at these delicious shots.
1. Vodka Jello Shots
While I have plenty of super fun flavors coming up, I simply cannot ignore the classic jello shot.
We must pay homage to the OGs after all. If you’ve ever been to a college party, you’ve probably knocked these back before, they are a staple of any good house party.
You’ll be using gelatin, water, and vodka to make these. Then you can add your favorite food colorings to make them look more appealing.
2. Jolly Rancher Shots
Jolly Rancher candy is some of the tastiest candy on the market, so why would you not want jello shots that taste just like them?
It’s a two-for-one with this recipe where you can pick between blue raspberry and UV blue vodka or Tropical Punch and coconut rum.
Or you could just make them both (it’s too hard to pick!) Be careful with these as they can be absolutely lethal since they taste so good you can forget they contain alcohol.
3. Blue Hawaiian
With tropical flavors like pineapple and coconut, I couldn’t think of a better shot for the summer.
These are perfect for any upcoming pool parties. These shots combined with a bit of sun will transport you back to holidays abroad for sure!
4. Sex On The Beach
Want a fun twist on your favorite classic cocktail (see also ‘28 Fun Cocktails For The 4th Of July‘)? I got you covered.
They’re so easy to make and contain all the best flavors such as orange, cranberry, and peach schnapps.
Serve with a dollop of cream, a cherry, and a small wedge of orange for perfect presentation.
5. Pina Colada
Do you like pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain? Then do I have the perfect escape for you!
You thought the cocktail flavored shots had finished above? Of course not.
This shot has all those familiar tastes, pineapple, coconut, and rum all packed into one small shot glass to give you all the tropical vibes you’ll need this summer.
6. Eggnog
If you’ve been told that jello shots are only for the summer, then you need to remove that person from your life.
We don’t need that kind of negativity here, thank you. These eggnog jello shots are the perfect holiday party treat.
With rumchata and brandy, these shots also encompass those delicious festive spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. And oh, are they divine.
7. Champagne
‘Come quickly, I am tasting the stars’ – Perignon (creator of champagne.)
Well, we’ve taken those stars and instead of bottling them up, we’ve placed them within a plastic shot glass for your enjoyment.
I know, you can thank me later. These taste so good.
They aren’t too strong and have a light and sweet flavor. They are sure to go down a treat.
8. Pumpkin Pie Pudding
Looking for a fitting shot for thanksgiving (see also our favorite thanksgiving cocktails), then you’ll want to make these tasty little treats. Is it a shot? Is it dessert?
I can’t decide and that’s what I love about them.
Whether you’d like to stick with vodka is up to you, but adding some fireball to these shots gives it that extra cinnamony kick.
Top them with some whipped cream and sprinkle a little more cinnamon over the top to finish them off.
9. Margarita Tequilla
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.
Here is your prewarning now, take it easy with these tasty shots – I can’t be held responsible for any actions that may occur from downing a few too many.
They may not look quite as fancy as some of the other options here, but if you’re a tequila fanatic then you will definitely want to try them. Simple yet effective.
10. Hot Cocoa Pudding
Today we’re turning all our festive favorites into boozy (see also ‘34 Boozy Popsicles for Summer Nights‘) jello options. And who doesn’t love a warm cup of cocoa?
Well, these shots won’t be hot but they’ll certainly warm the cockles of your heart. These shots also use another festive favorite – baileys.
Honestly, these taste amazing. You’ll definitely need to try them out at your next Christmas party.
11. Fireball Shots
Cinnamon whiskey (see also ‘13 Best Peanut Butter Whiskey Drinks‘) is really tasty but boy can it burn as it goes down.
If only there was a way to drink this delicious liquor without feeling that scorch as you shot it. Oh, wait! With this recipe, you can.
Don’t get me wrong there’s still a bit of heat to these bad boys, but it’s nowhere near as bad as shotting it neat, and the citrus flavors in the jello shots tone it down enough for it to be bearable and enjoyable.
12. Bacon Bourbon Shots
No, you didn’t read that wrong. We’re bringing bacon into your shots with this recipe.
And hey, don’t knock it until you try it because these are absolutely phenomenal.
However, you want to really make sure that your bacon is completely dry before you pop it in your jello, or you’re going to have fat dripping in your shots.
And while I’m all for out-there concoctions a fat-flavored shot isn’t something I’m desperate to shoot.
13. Cherry Lemonade
I love all things cherry flavored and these shots are the very embodiment of summer.
Cool, refreshing, and sugary sweet. You’ll be using jolly rancher jello and lemonade to make these super tasty shots as well as vodka. Can’t forget the vodka!
These go down quite easy though, so do try to remember that they contain alcohol, even if they do just taste like liquid candy.
14. S’mores Pudding Shots
Ever wanted a pudding shot of your very favorite pudding? Me too, which is why I scowered the internet for this delicious delight.
The only thing that could be better than s’mores is s’mores with marshmallow vodka!
15. Cosmopolitan Jello Shots
There’s something about ordering a cosmo that makes me feel super sophisticated and elegant.
So why take jello shots and make them classy? This shot has all those famous flavors of a cosmo such as cranberry juice, vodka, lime and triple sec.
I like to prepare these in martini glasses to bump up the sophistication.
So grab a glass and remember pinkie fingers out and enjoy like the epitome of class that you are.
16. Sour Patch Shots
Can you ever get too old for sour patch kids? I think not. Age is just a number, baby.
And you can’t let something as simple as a number stop you from enjoying these sour then sweet jiggling jello shots.
Not only do these shots taste great but they also look amazing.
The bright colored shots topped with coolwhip and a sour patch kid are sure to draw the attention of even the most nonobservant.
From experience, I can tell you that you’ll need to make some non-alcoholic versions if you’ve got children at the party, because they’ll want some too.
17. Glow In The Dark Shots
If you’re having an after-dark party then these are sure to go down at absolute treat.
They’re so easy to make – there are literally only three ingredients in them. And I mean, they glow in the dark! Do I really need to say anymore?
18. Reese’s Pieces Jello Shots
You didn’t think I’d forget about my peanut butter fans did you? I’ll put this out there before we go any further; these shots are unbelievably strong.
And since they taste so scrumptious, it’s easy to forget that. Be careful when shotting them.
Three or four shots down and they’ll start to taste a lot like texting your ex and we don’t want any bad decisions here.
But chocolatey, peanut buttery, vodka-infused shots topped with cool whip and reeces pieces – yeah we want that!
19. Sangria Wine Jello Shots
Sangria (see also ‘20 Top Sangria Recipes To Get You Summer Ready!‘) has fruit in it, so these shots are more of a healthy snack…right? Well, that’s what I’m telling myself, and you won’t change my mind.
This recipe packs tuns of tiny fruit pieces into a mixture of wine, fruit juice and gelatin to make the perfect summer shot.
If you want to transport all your party guests to beaches in the spanish sun then this is the flavor for you.
20. Butterbeer Jello Shots
‘I feel like Harry Potter just put liquid luck in my butterbeer.’ Well, I’m all out of liquid luck, but could I interest you in some vodka, butterscotch sauce, and cream soda, instad?
This themed drink is perfect for Potterhead parties, but it’s also just generally delicious too.
Top them with some cool whip and a lightening bolt to really make them stand out in the crowd.

21. Thanksgiving Pie Jello Shots
Hoping to turn a fairly dull thanksgiving into a real party? Bring these on theme shots along with you to really get everyone going.
This is a four-for-one recipe so pick your favorite pie and let’s get going. So what flavor sounds more to your liking?
We’vev got cherry pie, pumpkin pie, peach pie, or apple caramel pie up for grabs.
I can’t even help you make your decision since they are all so delicious. But whichever you choose you’re sure to inject a bit of fun into your favorite traditional fall desert.
22. Butterscotch Apple Cider Jello Shots
What an absolute game changer this shot is. It is perfect for any parties in the fall – though I’d happily shot this at any time of the year.
It’s sweet and it’s spiced and is just an all-round knock-out. You’ll be using butterscotch schnapps and some spiced rum as well as apple cider, cinnamon and caramel sauce.
23. Santa Hat Jello Shots
Sure leaving out a carrot and a mince pie on christmas eve is tradition, but if you really think about it, are we sure that santa wouldn’t prefer one of these santa-hat shots?
These are the perfect christmas shot, they’re so easy to make, and they look super cute too.
You’ll be making a delicious strawberry santa shot, topping with cool whip, and then decorating with a strawberry for st. Nic’s hat. Adorable!
