When will my order ship and how long will it take to arrive?
Most products are baked to order and shipped within 4 business days of purchase. If you need an order sooner, please email us and we'll do our best to accommodate. Orders are mailed using USPS priority mail unless USPS overnight express is selected and will take between 2-3 business days to arrive.
Why am I taken to a third party site for payment of my order?
We value our customer's security. Rather than host credit card processing or sensitive data transmission through our own site, we've decided to partner with PayPal, Google, and Authorize.net to provide our customers with the most secure checkout process possible. We DO NOT store credit card information in our databases, nor is any sensitive card holder data processed through our site at any point in the transaction. To comply with PCI Compliance standards, the trusted names of PayPal, Google, and Authorize.net handle all steps in the transaction process directly on their sites, including payment data collection and data submission. Our customers can rest assured that their transaction is safe and secure.
Do I need a PayPal account to pay with PayPal? What payment methods do you accept?
No, non-PayPal members can pay with their credit card via the PayPal interface without an account. Just look for a link to pay without logging in.
What is the shelf life of your products?
We do not use any preservatives in our products so our sweets should be consumed soon after it is received. Shortbread cookies and biscotti, however, do have a shelf life of up to 3-4 weeks, but marshmallows, brownies, drop cookies and sandwich cookies are best eaten within 5-10 days. Our seasonal Pumpkin Ginger Sandwich Cookies should be enjoyed immediately. All products list shelf life information on their product pages.
Can I include a gift card with my order?
Of course! Just let us know what you'd like to say and leave us a message in the "Comments, special instructions or gift messages" box at checkout and we'll be sure to include it in the package.
Do you ship international?
Unfortunately, due to cost and length of shipping time, we cannot ship outside the US.
Why doesn't my order come with a printed invoice?
We'd like to save some trees by eliminating a paper invoice with your order, however, if you would like one included, please let us know. All orders are confirmed with an email invoice.
Do you have a physical store?
We don't have a storefront, but we sell at markets in NYC and at select retailers around the country.
Where do you do your baking?
We bake out of a licensed commercial kitchen in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
I have a nut allergy. Are your products prepared in a facility that handles nuts?
Yes, all our products, even if they do not include nuts, are prepared with equipment and tools that may be in contact with wheat (gluten), milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, seeds, and chocolate.
Are your marshmallows vegan? Do they contain gelatin?
Our marshmallows do contain gelatin. We get many requests for vegan marshmallows so maybe one day we'll test some recipes out, but for now, our marshmallows are not vegan.
Do you do wholesale orders?
Yes. Please email us at wholesale@whimsyandspice.com or call us at 646.709.6659.
Do you do corporate gifts?
Yes, our products make wonderful corporate gifts! Please email us at info@whimsyandspice.com for more information about corporate gift options.
Who does your photography and packaging?
Mark does all the baking, but Jenna does all the photography, packaging, and design of the company materials, including this website. A few photos (the chocolate/caramel marshmallow package photo, biscotti package photo, shortbread package photo, and Rose & Black Pepper thumbprints image #3) were taken by William Brinson.
